The Nursery

I'm finally playing catch-up with my camera tonight, so you'll have to excuse the picture-heavy posts. We are ALMOST done with little man's nursery, so I thought I'd show off some photos of it. It will probably look much better once there's a beautiful baby boy in it!

My inspiration for the nursery was to do something a little more vintage/traditional/romantic. It's not as "shabby chic" as I would have liked, but I think I did okay, considering (1) he's a boy and let's face it - it's hard to find a look that walks that fine line and (2) I don't have a champagne budget!

Here's what the (almost) end result looks like.

The crib:

The wall letters (paint and ribbons compliments of yours truly!):

A shelf with shadow boxes (painted by me and added some fun little animals):

Our awesome glider chair:

The tall dresser, with a round mirror and adorable puppy dog piggy bank:

The other dresser/changer:

Close-ups of the crib bedding and mobile:

The light fixture:

The window/valance:

This shot is a little blurry, but the closet it quickly filling up with clothes, shoes and blankets, as well as my awesome orange leather diaper bag and our stroller/carseat:

We're getting there. Just a few last minute touches and this room will be ready to go. I can't believe we're at 29 days and counting!!
